MOVEMBER: What is it?

Since 2003, ‘Movember’ has funded more than 1,250 men’s health projects around the world, challenging the status quo, shaking up men’s health research and transforming the way health services reach and support men. They exist to help men live happier, healthier, longer lives.

Movember is a global community of ‘Mo Bros’ and ‘Mo Sistas’, dedicated to changing the face of men's health. The moustache is the hairy ribbon, and symbol for change. The growth of a new moustache sparks conversations, about men's health issues like prostate cancer, testicular cancer or mental health.

🔸 The rate of male suicide is alarmingly high: in Canada 3 out of 4 suicides are by men.

🔸 1 in 9 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime and is the second most common cancer in men globally.

🔸 Testicular cancer strikes early. It is the most common cancer in young Canadian men.

The Movember organization is raising awareness of men’s health and is trying to get a conversation going so that more men are able to speak openly and honestly about their health.

I'm raising funds and awareness this Movember by growing a mustache for all the dads, brothers, sons and mates in our lives. I need your help. Please donate to support men's health. Check out my donation page here:

There are other ways to get involved in Movember!

Grow a mustache to raise awareness or ‘Move for Movember’, run or walk 60km over the month for the 60 men we lose to suicide every hour across the world.

Every little bit counts! If you have any questions about Movember, feel free to message me!
